About Us

In 1999, Gary Wallace started Microcharge Systems Ltd in his garage at the family home in Glemsford, Suffolk. His wife, Frances, took on the paperwork side. Tim, their youngest son, began learning the trade on the Colchester lathe and a Bridgeport Mill in the garage.

Soon, they purchased an Excel CNC and things really took off.

Fast forward to 2011 and the company moved to a unit in Acton where the business thrived and continued to expand, soon needing a second unit opposite for the sheet metal and welding side of the business.

Now based in Sudbury and all back under one roof, you will find Gary and Tim working on the extensive variety of Haas CNC’s, Spark Eroder, Universal and Cylindrical Grinders. You will also find Tim’s wife, Kate in the workshop on the Sheet and welding side…..and always under the supervision of the workshop dog, Boris!
